CUSTOM SERVICES Our team of engineers has the capability to develop and fabricate custom TEM grids, Xray windows and other suspended-membrane chips to meet your unique specifications. Our custom grids are being used in multiple National Laboratories in the United States, Germany, Japan and many other prestigious research facilities.
FROM A CUSTOMER AT LAWRENCE BERKELEY NATIONAL LABORATORY
"The National Center for X-ray Tomography at Lawrence Berkeley National
Laboratory requires custom membrane devices with rather precise
specifications. In practice, these devices are demanding to fabricate.
The engineers at TEMwindows.com were able to develop and implement a
solution that meets our precise requirements. We received high-quality
devices that accurately met our needs. These devices are performing well
under the harsh conditions of our experimental procedures."
Our process is simple and transparent. Most orders are completed with 6 weeks.
A typical quote consists of the following elements: 1. Custom mask design and printing (free re-use in future orders) 2. Substrate deposition (nitride, oxide, pure silicon, etc.) 3. Patterning and etching of one or more silicon wafers 4. Device inspection (TEM & optical) and packaging
After confirming film properties and geometry specifications, we will generate a guaranteed price quote based on the information you provide. We request 50% payment at time of order and 50% upon delivery. After our engineers design your custom mask, we send an electronic copy by email for your approval before proceeding with fabrication. If you wish to use any of our standard geometries, there is no charge for mask design and printing. The minimum order is one 4-inch diameter silicon wafer. This will typically yield between 200-400 devices depending on geometry and film type. Many of our customers choose two or three wafers due to discounts for batch processes.
